Sébastien Le Clef develops a highly intuitive body of work situated between drawing, symbolic language and fragmented figuration.
Working primarily with ink and marker on paper, he constructs dense graphic compositions in which rhythmic structures, masks, silhouettes and organic forms continuously emerge, overlap and dissolve.
Guided by instinct, repetition and the gradual construction of a personal visual vocabulary, his works oscillate between abstraction, imagined mythologies and deeply human forms of expression.
Alongside his visual practice, poetry also occupies an important place in his work, extending the same search for rhythm, emotion and inner perception through words.
