Hellen Jansen develops paintings in which light, silence and composition subtly guide the viewer’s gaze through familiar yet elusive places.
Working from fragments of architecture, streets and nearly deserted spaces, she creates atmospheres suspended somewhere between memory, distance and quiet psychological tension.
What is visible in her work often gains meaning through what remains absent, hidden or unresolved. Rather than imposing a narrative, her paintings leave space for suggestion, slowness and personal interpretation.
